Delete a Portal in VIDIZMO
Deleting a portal permanently removes all associated data, including media content, users, and settings. This action cannot be undone.
Prerequisites
- You must have Portal Management permissions
- The portal cannot be the last remaining portal in the account
Steps to Delete a Portal
- Click the hamburger menu icon in the top-left corner to expand the navigation panel.
- Click on Portals to expand the portals section.
- Select All Portals from the dropdown menu.
The All Portals page lists all portals associated with your account.
- Locate the portal you want to delete and click the Delete icon (trash icon) on the portal card.
Note: You must be a member of the portal to delete it. If you are not a member, the delete option will not be available.
A confirmation dialog appears to prevent accidental deletion.
- Type the exact name of the portal in the confirmation field.
- Click Delete to permanently remove the portal.
Warning: Once deleted, the portal and all its data, including media content, cannot be recovered. You can close the browser after clicking Delete; the deletion process will continue in the background.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete a portal, the following data is permanently removed:

| Media Content | All videos, audio files, documents, and other media uploaded to the portal |
| User Data | Portal-specific user memberships and permissions |
| Settings | Portal configuration, branding, and security policies |
| Analytics | All viewing statistics and engagement data for the portal |
Post-Deletion
After clicking Delete:
- The deletion process begins immediately
- Processing time varies from a few seconds to several minutes depending on the amount of data
- A success message confirms when the portal has been deleted
- You will also receive an email confirmation
